Understanding High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a severe condition of the heart that can cause grave complications. It was once believed that those with a type-A personality are more likely to acquire hypertension. Personality traits, however, are not an indication of hypertension. Quiet, peaceful people have as much chance of getting hypertension as the next person. It’s vital to recognize this serious medical condition for yourself and also for friends and family that may be affected by this health problem.

High blood pressure can damage important parts of the body, such as the brain. The brain will suffer because it needs the nourishing supply of blood from the heart. This can produce many bad health conditions. An example of this is a mini-stroke, medically referred to as a transient ischemic attack (TIA). This results when the brain does not get a good blood supply for a short time. Usually, a blood clot or atherosclerosis causes this, which was probably caused by hypertension in the first place. A TIA often occurs before a regular, more severe stroke occurs.

There is an excess amount of blood pressure flowing through the heart and arteries when someone has hypertension. Atherosclerosis and arteriosclerosis then occur due to the increase in pressure. Arteriosclerosis is when the inner lining of the arteries is damaged, making the walls thick and rigid.

Too much fat in the bloodstream, from one’s diet, can then pass through these damaged arteries. This fat will then begin clumping together, which is the cause of arteriosclerosis. Blood flow can now get blocked which causes harm to the kidneys, heart, arms, legs and brain. This can result in an aneurysm, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure or a stroke.

Sometimes, hypertension can cause the left ventricle to harden or expand due to the extra pumping that is necessary. This in turn will limit the ventricle’s capability to pump blood into the body. Again, this can produce heart failure, heart attack or sudden cardiac death. The stress from high blood pressure over time strains the heart. The heart will slowly begin to weaken and not work as it should. Cardiac death is imminent because the heart will eventually wear out and stop. If the heart is damaged, this will happen even sooner.

While these conditions are serious, the heart will become very damaged if hypertension continues to persist without intervention. For example, when atherosclerosis begins and the blood flow becomes blocked in the arteries, it is very likely for the person to experience chest pain, irregular heart rhythms or even a heart attack. When people with high blood pressure have a heart attack, they are more liable to die because their blood pressure is not high enough after the attack.

An aneurysm occurs when a weakened artery becomes distended and forms a lump. Should the force persist, the aneurysm or bulge can then erupt which can result in internal bleeding that can be life-threatening. While aneurysms can form anyplace in the body, they are most generally in the aorta, which is the body’s main artery.

Another illness that can occur due to hypertension is a stroke, which is a result of the brain being depleted of necessary oxygen and nutrients. This then causes brain cells to die. Blood clots can also develop in the arteries leading to the brain, causing a stroke. A life-threatening condition is an aneurysm which results in bleeding within the brain.

Dementia and mild cognitive impairment can also be results of high blood pressure. The brain takes care of human reasoning, memory, vision, thinking, and movement. Many areas of the body are affected when it does not get the proper supply of blood. When understanding and memory are affected, Alzheimer’s disease may begin.

Moreover, damage can occur in the kidneys due to the lessening flow of blood to the kidneys. The results can be kidney failure, kidney scarring or even a kidney artery aneurysm. The blood vessels to the eyes can be affected, resulting in impaired vision. Other areas that are sometimes caused by hypertension are sexual dysfunction, insomnia and bone loss.

There are actions that can be taken to both prevent and stop hypertension. A good diet, physical exercise and a low salt diet can help. Two medications that have been especially helpful for hypertension are Hydrochlorothiazide and Carvedilol. The active pharmaceutical ingredients in these medicines are especially beneficial to patients with high blood pressure. Therefore, it’s important to find a high-quality manufacturer of Carvedilol and Hydrochlorothiazide manufacturers to receive the best medication.

It is very important to get the high blood pressure under control and closely monitored. Changing your lifestyle may be necessary to achieve this. Also, following your doctor’s orders and taking your medication will soon eliminate hypertension and help you live a long healthy life.

What is the difference with high and low pressure for paintball guns?

I have a mini and it recommends that you use the gun on low pressure but it can also be used with high pressure. All i know is that the HP output is about 850 psi and LP is about 450 psi. What impact does HP have on the gun and what impact does LP have on the gun? what is better for the mini?

it has no impact on your marker. your maker has a regulator that lowers it to the operation pressure of the marker. Go with a HP tank. 99% of markers use HP only like one Angel ever made needs to use LP.
