What should I do about my mishealed ingrown toenail?
I had an operation on my large toe about three years ago for an ingrown toenail and the doctor used chemicals to kill the cuticles on the side so it would heal and not get ingrown in the future. Now I have an extra bit a cuticle that is disconnected from my toenail. It's like having a tiny extra toenail on my toe and it sticks out and rubs on things causing an irritation and slight pain.
I don't know what to do. For the moment when it gets long enough I take a pair of needle-nose pliers and rip it out by force. This hurts but then I don't feel the pain as much because it heals in a few days until the next few months when I rip it out again.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to git rid of the stray cuticle I would appreciate it very much,Thanks.

My suggestion would be to go to the doctor, so they can chemically remove the extra cuticle, and hopefully it wont grow back.
