will a hot point ignition furnace run ok on an inverter?
I have an off grid home that I want to install a heil 135K btu propane gas furnace. The home has a 5000 watt inverter that can run microwave, table saw, and lost of other appliances even my lathe. It produces modified square wave ac 95-115v , depending on battery charge- It runs a spark ignition for the kitchen stove ok and glow bar ignition for the oven, but what about a gas furnace. I tried contacting Heil, but they don't have any links to ask questions. I sent an inquiry to honeywell as many of the devices are made by them. But what do you guys think?
well we have a York furnace 80,000 btu running off grid, but it is a very high
eff. 98% and the motor is an ECM that uses only 68 watts. but its
been alittle over a year now.
