How to connect a Humidifier to furnace controller?

Hi there,
I just moved into to a new house, there is a Humidifier installed but for some reason, it is not connected to furnace, there are two wires out from the Humidifier's electric valve, one is connected to the C terminal on the furnace controller, where should I connect the other wire to ? The other terminals on the furnace are : Y, Gc, Gh R W. Does the transformer on the furnace has enough capacity to drive one more relay?

One wire will hook up to the "C" terminal, The second wire will hook up to the "R" terminal. This will make the humidifier only run in the heat mode. You do NOT want a humidifier to run in the cooling mode. Now what has me curious is why it was disconnected. When you say NEW house do you mean a new constructed house? or is an older house? The reason I ask is if it is an older home there might be a reason it was disconnected. If it is a new home then there is a good chance they may have just forgotten to connect it. If it is a bypass type humidifier you will want to make sure the damper ( if it has one) to be open in the winter and closed in the summer. I hope this helps you. Oh and by the way there is absolutely enough voltage and amperage on the furnace to run a humidifier. You should NOT have to add an additional one.
