can I use 6 gauge wire in a 4 gauge distribution block?
I need to find a distribution block with one 4 gauge input and at least two 6 gauge outputs but i can't find one with those specs so can i use a distribution block with a 4 gauge input and two 4 gauge outputs instead?
they don't make distro blocks in odd numbers like that. 0/1 awg, 4 awg, 8 awg and sometimes 10 awg. That's pretty much it. Whichever block you get should work fine. You can either jam it into the 8 awg block or crank the tightening screw down on the 4 awg block. If you're using ACC wire or any of the other cheap wires out there, it's not going to be a true 6 awg anyway.
